ap-events are pleased to announce following the success of the second Danish Elvis Festival of 2017 details of the 2018 Danish Elvis Weekend, which is full of top class entertainment from early afternoon until late night over the whole weekend.
The weekend offers the opportunity to see and hear some of the finest Elvis Tribute Artists in the world performing showcases with a full live band and backing singers.
We have the following Elvis Tribute Artists on the program in 2018:
Mario Kombou England:
Throughout his career as an Elvis tribute artist, Mario has won numerous contests including the Images of the King Championship in Memphis. He is currently playing and singing to full houses in Great Britain as well as in several other European Capital cities with his own-produced show “Elvis Years”. Mario was also selected among many hundreds of hopeful tribute artists in England and the United States to play the lead role in Jailhouse Rock at the Piccadilly Theater in London’s Westend.
Juan Lozano, Wales:
In addition to being an amazing Elvis tribute artist, Juan is also a very talented musician. Juan Lozano was selected among many aspiring Elvis tribute artists to participate in the BBC’s World Greatest Elvis. Juan have been a life long Elvis fan and even to this day he is still finding out interesting facts about the man who is the main inspiration in Juan´s life.
“I have so much to thank Elvis for and having the privilege of working as an Elvis Tribute Artist has presented me with so many beautiful opportunities in life that otherwise would not have happened. From the amazing people i`ve met to performing live on TV” Juan says.
Brian Trøjborg / Troy, Denmark:
Brian Troy has performed with his Elvis Tribute show and his own band “Elvis On My Mind” for 17 years throughout Denmark. He won the title Best Elvis Tribute Artist in Scandinavia in 2013, and he has also twice been semifinalist in the competition Europe’s tribute to Elvis in Blackpool, England. Brian won the Images of the King qualifier in Denmark in 2017 and he will represent the Danish Elvis Festival in the finals of the Images of the King in Memphis in August 2017.
Paul Molloy, England:
During a career as an ETA which has now lasted 16years, Paul has been in his own words, very fortunate to have been able to perform his tribute to Elvis all over the world in some of the finest theatres around. Many awards, tv and radio appearances along the way, it is his association with those who worked with Elvis that has been the highlight of his career. Meeting and working with those who were there at the time with Elvis has been such an amazing experience. Paul became first runner up in the Danish Images of the King qualifier in 2017.
Graceland Band and backing singers the Passionettes:
The weekend offers a reunion with the Graceland band coming from Wales. They are used to playing for tribute artists at shows at home and abroad. The band has been a great success at the two previous Elvis weekends, so we are looking forward to seeing them back in Denmark again in 2018.
As The Passionettes they have performed in many venues and theatres across the country both as an act in their own right and as backing singers to many accomplished artists and musicians, including Elvis Presley’s very own guitar maestro and legend, James Burton. Not long time ago they were performing with legends James Burton, Glen D Hardin, and Marty Wilde, with the weekend of shows finale being at The Cavern Club.
They also recently performed live with the Queen of Rock Suzi Quatro in Berlin and in October 2017 they gonna back up Suzi Quatro again together with David Essex, the Osmonds and Hot Chocolate.
Peter Edwards, Wales:
Peter Edwards will host our festival weekend.
Prequalification for the Images of the King Competition in Memphis.
Finally, the weekend will again offer a prequalification round for the contest the Images of the King in Memphis, where you will have the opportunity to see many Elvis tribute artists from all over Europe competing to compete in the final in Memphis.
